The Social Security System has expanded the coverage of its program on payment through the bank of reimbursement claims filed by employers of SSS members for sickness, maternity and employees’ compensation benefits.
The Program will now include payment of benefits due the self-employed, voluntary members, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), non-working spouses and members separated from employment. This is in line with the aim to establish a uniform payment system for employers and members alike and to allow qualified individual members to enjoy the advantages of a more convenient, safer and faster payment of benefits through the bank.
The SSS and Citystate Savings Bank, as an accredited bank, signed recently the Memorandum of Agreement formalizing the expanded program.
